The ILPC is one of the longest established and best-known forums for analysis of all aspects of work and employment. It has seen significant growth in recent years, drawing more diverse and inclusive audiences, who are strongly concerned to explore work and employment relations in the context of the broader political economy, with a continuing emphasis on employee perspectives and theory-led empirical research. In the past 15 years we have had conferences in Amsterdam, Berlin,
Stockholm, Dublin Rutgers/New Jersey, Athens, Buenos Aires and Vienna as well as various venues in the UK. The Steering Group has a preference for rotating the event between the UK, Europe and the Americas. 2019 will be held in Newcastle so the preference is for a venue outside the UK. Potential local organizers should make informal enquiries in the first instance to the Convenor of the Steering Group, Paul Thompson (firstname.lastname@example.org).
