The ILPC PhD Workshop provides an informal setting for doctoral students and leading academics to debate contemporary issues on labour process theory. It also offers a fantastic opportunity for new researchers to meet established academics to discuss doing a labour process inspired PhD. This year, the PhD Workshop focusses on publishing in labour process related journals.
We are very happy to announce that Gabriella Alberti (Leeds University Business School) will open the workshop with an input on her own experience publishing in labour relations journals as well as about her inside views on publication strategies as a former member of the Association board of the Work, Employment and Society Journal (WES). After Gabriella`s talk we will continue the discussion in smaller groups.
We meet on Tuesday, April 23rd, at 5.30 p.m., in seminar room 3 at the Department of Sociology, University of Vienna (Rooseveltplatz 2, 1090 Vienna, 1st floor). After the official part of the workshop there will be an opportunity to continue the discussion, get in touch with other participants and exchange ideas over a drink and some snacks.
Welcoming and informal, the PhD Workshop programme is designed to enhance the overall conference experience. It provides a space where early career researchers can address different questions regarding their publication strategies and other work-related issues.
